Artist’s Statement

Keenan is interested in telling a story about the spaces he encounters in daily life, whether it’s the studio where he works, landscapes out in the world, or those from memory. Through playful, and sometimes thick mark making, layered surfaces, and forms articulated from many angles and points-of-view, he seeks to give his images an other worldly and mysterious narrative quality.
